Cllr Philip Broad Bank - Starbeck

Cllr Trevor Chapman - New Park

I have represented New Park Ward on the council since 2004 and lived in Harrogate since 1970. I am a hard working local councillor, community spirited, active and always willing to help local residents. I am committed to giving residents a greater say with decisions that affect their everyday lives and would like to see the council spend its limited resources on the things that matter most to people. I have campaigned on a large number of local issues over the years. I serve on several committees including planning and licensing and am shadow cabinet member for housing.
I am a life member of Bilton Cricket Club and fulfilled the role of school governor at two local primary schools for a number of years.

Cllr David Goode - Knaresborough King James

Cllr Anne Jones - Knaresborough Scriven Park

Cllr Janet Law - Starbeck

Cllr Pat Marsh - Hookstone

I have been a Councillor for 28 years as a result I have a wealth of experience. I am passionate about the place I live in and want to make sure that it is a place that others can live in too by putting the lack of affordable housing as one of my priorities. I am determined and hardworking and want to work with other likeminded people to make sure that this District remains a beautiful, happy, safe place to live.

Cllr Clare Skardon - Hookstone

Clare is a local councillor, serving local people over local issues. As a Hookstone resident of 13 years, Clare has been twice elected Representative of Hookstone Ward. Married to Peter for 30 years and with two grown up children, Clare has recently become a Grandma.
To the role of councillor, Clare brings extensive management experience in Hospitality, specifically Personnel and Recruitment. She is now semi-retired.
Clare decided to be involved with the Liberal Democrats, from a desire to contribute more effectively to her community.

Passionate about Hookstone
As a councillor, Clare has worked on HR and Licensing Committees. She was instrumental in setting up HASAG, an organisation to improve Hookstone Green Spaces, in particular Hookstone Woods and Stonefall Park. As a formally constituted group it has successfully in applied for external funding, essential in this era of austerity and shrinking funding from Central Government.

Harrogate now has a great opportunity to elect a strong Liberal Democratic voice for the community. Her focus is on schools, green spaces, jobs, roads, the right homes in the right places, our local services, including hospitals, mental health care and dentists as well as traffic issues.

Local action on local issues.

Contact Clare over any matter. She may not have all the answers, but she will always try and help.
